Welcome to 313Tech!

A big warm welcome to all of my readers.  Glad to see that you made the trip safely.

I must say that I am very excited to finally get this site up and running.  It took a while to get the bugs worked out (rss confusion), but here we are, and it's the birthday of 313Tech.  Please notice the miniblog in the top left titled "Hot Topics." This will be short 'linkfest' type posts containing material that I found interesting, (sorry, haven't figured how to get an rss feed for this yet).

This blog is dedicated to the discussion of technology and the creative arts and their implementation in the church.  For more info, see my about page.

it’s been awhile

Yes i know it’s been almost 2 weeks, i’ve been trying to work on the new site between classwork.... maybe finished by the end of the week...maybe....

Superbowl 2007

Go Colts! just kidding... actually i didn't really care for either one of the teams this year... but it was still a good game. We watched it on the projector in Sullivan as part of BCM. Hey, it beats the 13" tv in my room.

There's the game, but the real show (for me at least) is in the commercials. So, without further ado here are the 2007 SuperBowl Commercial awards... 313 style. Click the award title for the video.

Funniest Commercial: Blockbuster's spot for their new web service features furry rodents perplexed with how to use a mouse.


Most Creative: From a design perspective, I really enjoyed all of Coca-Cola's ads, especially this one.

Most Disturbing: This one doesn't even deserve a description or a link, the Snickers ad... if you watched the game, you know what I'm talking about. That's all I have to say.

Plundering

While browsing through the blogs of Anthony Coppedge and Greg Atkinson, it surprised me to see that they had both linked to Perry's blog. Anthony and Greg are amazing church media consultants that help to inspire church leaders. If you've never heard of them, chances are you've seen videos sold on WorshipHouse Media. Their podcast is excellent for anyone that is involved in church media production. After browsing Anthony's blog a little more, I found this post. Apparently Anthony visited Newspring some time last year. That's Awesome! It's really amazing to see how God is already using Newspring to make an impact on church leaders across the nation.
