I love my MacBook Pro. I don't love when it refuses to charge (makes things a little unproductive, don't ya think?). I had the old power "brick" (noted for it's size) model, and it was working great, only it had a few bare wires showing.
Although this wasn't a serious issue, I have AppleCare and since I'm paying for it, might as well get a new one. Long story short, I get the new one bring it home, plug it in and within an hour it shorts out. I tried unplugging it, resetting the power management features on the MBP, checking the pins, nothing worked.
I take it into the store, (in the neat little packaging it came in only two days earlier), wait two hours only for it to work perfectly when it gets to the genius bar (of course). The guy suggested getting a power conditioner to help reduce electric interference and noise.
So do I trust a 'genius'? It seems like a worthy investment independent of my laptop. What do you think?
